I began in the insurance industry with Integon Life in 1974 where I met my business partner John Wells.

After serving in management positions at Integon Life for 14 years, I joined Security Underwriters in 1988 as head of the Life, Health, and Employee Benefits division.

I have achieved insurance degrees as a Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant and served as:

Past President of the Winston-Salem Estate Planning Council
Past President of the Winston-Salem Society of Financial Services Professionals
A member on the Boards of Trustees and Elders of Home Moravian Church

I am married to Becky and have a son, daughter-in-law and very active granddaughter living in the San Francisco area.

I love most music but have a weakness for good rock ‘n roll and blues.  I play in local bands “Last Chance” and “the BB’s” (frustrated that I didn’t start at an earlier age)

I am a graduate of Wake Forest University in 1973 and follow the Deacons through thick and thin.
